Cowboy and cowgirl

Last week Friday was Grandparents Day at school. Evan and Kendra's class was performing a couple of things based on a farm theme, so their teacher sent a note home that they could dress up like cowboys and cowgirls if they wanted.
Here are the cowboy and cowgirl I sent to school:
Pretty cute if I may say so myself!

Tote-ally comfy place to read

What do kids do with the empty totes Mommy washed but hasn't refilled yet?

Make a reading pod, of course!

Worth waiting for

What makes two girls snuggle up under a blanket on the porch on a cool evening while Mommy gets supper ready?

A whole group of princessy dresses, of course!

Faith and obedience

Yesterday Laura hollered for me from the bathroom:
"Mommy! I baachied!" [That's poo for the rest of you.]
"You did? Good job!"
"Yeah, but it hurt. So I prayed and asked God to make it not hurt. He said, 'push.' So I did, and it came out without hurting."
"God said for you to push?"
"Yep!"
"And you listened and did what He said to do?"
"Yep!"

I love this girl so much!

Hair changes

I've always known that hormones can change the texture, thickness, etc. of your hair.

But I still can't get over the difference in my hair
from when Kendra was born:

and now (when I'm no longer pregnant or nursing anyone):

Amazing!
