Celebrating birthday eve

Our kids hardly ever have medicine. And they certainly never have fingerfuls of chocolate frosting in bed. So why is it that I just fed Kendra two finger scoops of chocolate frosting in bed in an attempt to get her to take medicine?

It must just be a rockin' way to celebrate her birthday eve.

Er...somethin'.

Early spring

To follow our disturbingly mild winter,
we've started a way warm, very early spring.

Last week, we saw this nearly every day.
(That's about 40 degrees warmer than it should be, just so you know.)

But, since it was so nice outside, we spent a lot of time at the park and playing outside at home.

Then, over the weekend, we went to Chad's parents' house where there isn't a park right across the street,
but there is a tree.
The white oval shows you where Evan is in the tree. He discovered these tree-climbing skills in the last two weeks and greatly developed them over the weekend.

We also had to go hunt down a park because we needed something to climb other than the one tree ... and because I knew my children would stay closer to the ground at a park.

Little Miss Big Blue Eyes ... times three

In case you ever wondered where the big blue eyes come from,
it sure ain't from me.

I think Chad's mom might be partly to blame...
