I'm not sure which of us is more excited.

Pictures of kids, by kids

When I got a new camera for Christmas, Chad and I agreed that the kids could have our old digital camera. They wanted one, and there was no reason to spend $40-60 on a kids digital camera that takes mediocre-at-best pictures when they could use a "real" digital camera instead.

They've never been told that the old camera is theirs. But on occasion, they get to run around the house taking pictures until they've run the battery dead.

They did that this past Saturday and actually got some pretty good pictures.

Now, lest you think all their pictures were that good ... Be assured that there were also numerous pictures of the rugs, the ceiling, blankets, and, for some reason, Evan's underwear drawer.

Today...

Today, Laura used the big vacuum on her own.

Today, Kendra learned how to effectively pump her legs and arms on a swing to keep herself going and to get higher.

Today, Evan steered to mow the lawn.

Today, Kendra read a Dav Pilkey book.

Today, I captured all 4 faces that were on the tire swing.

Today, it was a good day.

Counting

Kendra asked if she could count for me. I said yes. I figured she'd stop when she got to 100. Silly me. She's at 164 right now...

She quit at 239, saying she didn't know what was next. When I asked her what would be next, she said "240". And on she goes...

Apparently, 239 is how long her attention span lasts. She went on to 245 but seemed like her brain had gone through too many numbers and the words no longer made sense to her.
