Keeping the peace
My father-in-law mentioned that the Cherish These Days blogger has really been slacking off lately. So I wrote this post for him. I'm nice like that. (Hi, Lyle!)

Compliment
At a wedding reception Saturday evening, we got a huge compliment. At least I think it was a compliment. I took it that way.
A lady walked up to Jenn (my sister-in-law) and me, and she asked both of us if "all those are your kids"? We both assured her that the kids were split between the two of us, plus an extra cousin that was sitting there.
The lady went on to say, "Do you homeschool?"
"No, why?"
"Oh! I'm sorry! I just assumed you did since your kids are all sitting there so well."
I was beyond flattered.
And, if I may brag for a bit, the table with two 10-year-olds, an 8-year-old, a 7-year-old, a 5-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 3-year-old was almostly completely quiet for an entire hour while they drew pictures and waited for supper.
