Biofeedback*

You know how, when you hear about head lice, your head itches? And how, when you hear about pink eye, you have to rub your eyes?

Well, it seems that, when you tend to a bloody nose, your nose starts to run.

*I know that isn't technically biofeedback, but it was the best word I could think of. Other than onomatopoeia, and I really didn't think that applied here.

Retrospect

I made cupcakes with the kids after lunch today. When they (the cupcakes, not the kids) were cool, they (the kids, not the cupcakes) wanted to make frosting. Evan wanted to have a plain cupcake first though. So the girls tried one too. Then I seem to have let them have free reign over the unfrosted mini cupcakes so I would know how much frosting I'd need to make. I told them I'd make frosting later, after they were done eating plain cupcakes.

In retrospect, that may not have been a good idea. 18 of the 24 mini cupcakes disappeared out of the pan in a matter of minutes.

Apology

Dear Chad,
I really do love you a lot, but the kids have been playing dress-up all morning ... and our house shows it. We'll try to have it cleaned up before supper tonight. But you might want to just keep your eyes closed at lunch.
